Christ Jesus who diedmore than that, who was raised to lifeis at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?... No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

This Sunday, the Easter celebration continues!!  The celebration of Jesus' Resurrection at Easter (like Christmas) is a lot of good amazing roll up your sleeves work in the church.  Then on Easter Monday folks head back to work, students head back to school and pastors typically take the day off to rest.  We might say to each other... "What's next now that Easter is over?" 

What? Easter is over?  NO WAY!  Easter is just beginning!  In our Lent Bible study "The Third Day," Tom Berlin reminds us that the resurrection changes everything!  Because there is resurrection, change in our lives possible, forgiveness is possible, reconciliation is possible.  The power of God that raised Jesus Christ from the dead is possible and available for each one of us, too.  It's amazing good news that when we die we will live again with Jesus AND the better news is that every day we get to live with Jesus and every day God is working on resurrection around us and in us and through us!  

So tomorrow, we will keep celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ.  We will share in Holy Communion together and believe.  Thanks be to God!  (Oh, we'll be hanging out with Thomas...)

We will soon be celebrating Confirmation with three of our young people on

Sunday, May 19th.

Our church has traditionally offered those on this faith journey a class for learning and a Confirmation Retreat.  This year, there was no confirmation retreat that fit our needs; therefore we are planning to travel to Washington DC on April 20 & 21.   We will tour the Bible Museum and the Holocaust Memorial Museum on Saturday and worship at the National Cathedral on Sunday morning.  All of these hands-on experiences directly relate to learning about our Christian faith. 

We will also be planning a celebration dinner & rehearsal on Saturday, May 18th for confirmands, their families and their mentors 

We'd love for you to help! 

Pray for our Confirmation Class, their families, teachers, & mentors on this exciting journey!
