Hope, in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, as His Birth is approaching!
A breath of relief from all of our challenges, no longer encroaching.
Pure peace that only God can supply.
Perfectly given to you and I
Yes, Lord, we thank you, we praise you, we love you. Yes Lord, there is nobody above you.
Amen!
I have always loved when my teachers would have us write acrostic poems. They really bring out my imagination! And, what better time to live with the imagination of children again than Advent time? Although we are told as adults that "imagination is not real," this isn't true. To quote one of my favorite movies, The Santa Claus, "Seeing isn't believing. Believing is seeing." What does that mean? I think it means that, when we truly believe, we truly see things. Yes, the line in this movie was referring to Santa Claus. But, Saint Nicholas is celebrating the Birth of the Christ-child! What else is something that we cannot see, but still believe? Our Faith.
Through imagination, with its parallels to taking a leap of Faith, we can have that feeling of Hope that we can only get from Jesus.
Your friend in Hope, Joey
