Growing up, Ricky's and my parents, Matt and Tina, always had us watch Frank Capra's "It's a Wonderful Life" together getting ready for Christmas. It's my mom's favorite movie. The wonderful thing about it is that it is always "wonderful" to watch, never getting old or boring. The message is timeless and is clear in the title: "It's a Wonderful Life!"
Another inspiration from this article was how many of the verses pointed to the wonderful nature of our lives as human beings. These verses can remind us of how wonderful and amazing our life is. And, with Psalm 133:1, we are reminded of the importance of living together in faith, hope, and love. What greater resolution to make during this time of Advent, Christmas, the new year, and the Epiphany? I invite you to read this article all the way through for the beautiful message of "It's a wonderful life" that is found within it. https://dailyverses.net/ There is a line from Frank Capra's movie that always sticks with me, and I think that it is one of the most famous lines from the movie. George's daughter, Zuzu says the following after George has "come back into his life" and all of his friends and family are gathered in his and his wife Mary's house, singing and praising God in Christmas with "Hark the Herald Angels Sing." A bell ornament rings on the Christmas tree, and Zuzu says, "Look, Daddy. Teacher says every time a bell rings an angel gets his wings." Then, George replies, "That's right, that's right. Attaboy, Clarence (George's guardian angel, who got his wings by fulfilling his mission of showing George Bailey just how wonderful life is!)" I am going to amend this line this year. God called my dad's mom, and my grandmother, Judy Capuano, home on Friday, December 19. Now, upon hearing a bell ring during this time of year, we can say, "That's right, attagirl, Judy!" We love you, Grandma Judy! I hope that you are leading the dancing train to "Dominic the Christmas Donkey" up there in Heaven with Uncle Dick and all of our family and friends that you joined and who are up there with you! Merry Christmas Blessings, all! Joey |
