Rev. Bensinger brings a wide range of pastoral experience, having served United Methodist congregations in Oklahoma, New Hampshire, Virginia, and South Dakota. He returns to Virginia following his most recent appointment as Senior Pastor of First United Methodist Church in Rapid City, South Dakota.
Rev. Bensinger holds a Bachelor of Science from Florida State University, a Master of Science from Texas A&M University, and a Master of Divinity from Kairos University in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. He is also a Certified Spiritual Director.
Before entering full‑time ministry, Rev. Bensinger served 25 years in the United States Air Force. He is a Life Member of both the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.
Rev. Bensinger is married to Rebecca V. Musgrave, originally from the Commonwealth of Dominica in the West Indies. He has one daughter, Alison, who currently serves as a registered nurse in Southern New Hampshire.
