Dear Friends,

Greetings, grace, and peace!

At its heart, every church is about coming together in thanksgiving and joy. God knows we’ve all been through a lot over these past few years, and there’s never been more reason for gratitude and celebration.

We are blessed by the friendships and relationships that we have at our church, by our amazing staff, all the ministries we are able to be a part of, and by our facilities. Such blessings inspire our thanks – and also our support.

Our Thanksgiving and Consecration Sunday is this coming Sunday, November 19th! Our guest speaker at both services will be Rev. Tommy Herndon, director of the United Methodist Foundation. We will gather up our pledges, bless them, and then celebrate with a catered luncheon by Cosmic Barbeque (a business local to Bridgewater). There is no charge for lunch--but if you would like to come please RSVP by calling the church office (540-828-0890).

Before then, we ask you to pray about your pledge. Ask God to help you discern your pledge for the coming year. And as you do, consider praying this prayer:

Great One, for you the floods clap, for you the hills sing. You know my situation better than anyone. Take my credits and debits, ins and outs, pluses and minuses, surpluses and lacks, and show me how to use them to join the great chorus of creation. Amen

For all that we’ve already accomplished together, and for all that we will accomplish together in the future, thank God and thank you.
