Welcome to the first Sunday of 2024! We will worship at 8:30 AM & 11 AM. Sunday School classes will continue. (There WILL be Kid's Time at both services. There will not be nursery or children's church.)
We will celebrate Epiphany and share in Holy Communion together. Our scriptures are Isaiah 60; 1-6 and Matthew 2:1-12. Here is a link to the scripture: https://lectionary.library.
Heads Up! Lent is early this year. Lent begins on February 14th! Our Ash Wednesday service will be Feb 14th at 7:00 PM.
Join us this Sunday in person or online! You can access our live stream from the website (www.bridgewaterumc.com). Click on "Sermons" and then "Live Steam." You may also join us directly on YouTube at Bridgewater UMC Virginia and click on the LIVE tab.

As the song says, "I don't know if there'll be snow...." WHSV is calling for snow on Saturday with possible effects on Sunday morning.
First of all, you are the one who know you and your family best. Please make the best decision for you and your safety when deciding to come to church. if church is open, we will do our best to clear our sidewalks, steps, ramps that access the building.
We will watch weather conditions notify you of church and event cancellation Saturday evening by:
1) Putting the cancellation on WHSV TV. 2) E-blast to the congregation (either way) 3) An announcement on Facebook (either way)
Please do what you can to check on your neighbors and friends. Stay warm and safe! |

I want to thank everyone for all the support that was shown to me during my recent successful surgery with prayers, cards, visits, food and phone calls. Gloria and I were reminded that God is always with us by putting the right people in the right place at the right time. Again, thanks for your continued prayers as I go through rehab to be able to get back to being able to do things like before. Blessings to all.

January 20 @ 9 am: Serving Lunch at HBC (Harrisonburg Baptist Church)! Join us as we prepare a hot meal and to-go bags for our friends experiencing homelessness! The Meal is TBD, but please sign up with Whitney. _____________________
