Good morning, Everyone!

 

The office will be closed today, Jan 9, 2024, due to inclement weather.  Rockingham County Schools are closed today, so we are following their lead and closing the office.  I will be working from home today.  If you have a pastoral care need, my contact information is below.  Hope that you will stay safe and warm.  Please use your own judgment when going out.  

 

There are no meetings or activities on the calendar today.  I look forward to seeing some of you tomorrow for Prayer and Music Rehearsals and other travels.  Our calendar for the week is reprinted below.  

 

Announcement: Sunday Morning Breakfast Fundraiser!

 

While I'm talking to you, let me tell you of some late breaking news:

 

We have become aware that an international Bridgewater College student from Ghana, Shadrach Baako-Amponsa is in need of finances to continue his education at BC.  You might have met him, visited our church in the fall and will be with us on Sunday.  He is in the Computer Science/Math program in his first year. 

 

A few of us met with him yesterday. We have decided to have a fundraiser breakfast for him on Sunday between the services--sponsored by the Faith Bible Sunday School Class.  Any money raised will go directly to BC to cover his tuition. 

 

He could use your prayers, encouragement and any financial support you can give.  Our goal, to cover the first year, is $14,000.  (Also, if you have any ideas for other sources of funding, please contact me.  I am contacting other churches and people in the area.)
